| The Dance of Leadership Consulting Group The Dance of Leadership Consulting Group is concerned with the art as well as the science of leadership. We conduct training, facilitation, counseling, and intervention in areas such as leadership development, civic engagement, strategic planning, and executive coaching. Leadership Development – Our signature program, The Dance of Leadership workshop, based on our book The Dance of Leadership, focuses on the art of leadership, employing material from art, music, and especially dance to discover new ways of thinking about leadership and new ways of sharpening one’s leadership skills. For anyone who wants to lead, whether in a small group, a community, a public, private, or non-profit organization, A related presentation, Bounce: Building Organizational Resilience, focuses on how groups and organizations can adapt to ever-increasing change. Civic Engagement – Our work in civic engagement is based on what we have called The New Public Service and explored in our book The New Public Service: Serving Not Steering. We feel that in an era in which trust in government is low, governments must take positive steps to involve citizens and respond to their needs and interests. We are interested in working with public and non- profit organizations in designing mechanisms for more effective citizen involvement. Personal Leadership Coaching – Individual executive coaching is becoming one of the most rapidly growing approaches to leadership development and organizational change in both the public and the private sector. Our approach utilizes a 360 degree personal assessments followed by individual and group coaching sessions held over a period of several months. What is distinctive about our coaching is that we are concerned not only with management but leadership. |
